Career and Academic Opportunities

The Master of Science in Civil Engineering is a natural follower of the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. This accelerated pathway will give students a unique preparation for advanced positions, such as project manager, engineering manager, senior engineer, etc. According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, salaries for individuals holding a civil engineering master’s degree are more than 10 percent higher than the average salary for civil engineers with only a bachelor’s degree. This pathway will allow a student to complete their undergraduate and graduate studies within 5 years.

Double Owl Admission Requirements

  • ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ GPA of at least 3.20
  • 60 hours completed towards the Bachelor's degree
  • 12 hours completed in residence at ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ

Double Counted Courses

Select up to 3 of the following course pairs*:

  • CE 6433 to count for CE 4704 (CEGD 4)**
  • CE 6533 to count for CE 4705 (CEGD 2)
  • CE 6633 to count for CE 4706 (CEGD 3)
  • CE 6133 to count for CE 4707 (CEGD 4)
  • CE 6343 to count for CE 4343 (CEGD 1)
  • CE 6302 to count for CE 4353 (CEGD 1)

* The list provided includes six course pair options, only three course pairs should be used as part of the Double Owl pathway.

** The BSCE program requires students to select at least two technical electives from CEDGs 1-3, students should elect Double Owl courses appropriately
