Next Steps

Congratulations on officially becoming a part of Owl Nation! We know how stressful enrolling in college can be, and we want to make the process as simple as possible. If you have any questions regarding the enrollment process, you can contact the Admissions Office to speak with a college admissions counselor.

Follow the below steps to ensure you’re ready for Orientation and then the first day of class.

Activate your Net ID

You’ve created a lot of unique logins while applying to universities, but we have good news for you: this is the last one you’ll need for a while! You’ll use your NetID to access Owl Express and complete many of your enrollment tasks. Also, it will be your official log in as a student at ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State.

Activate your DUO account

In addition to activating your NetID, you will need to set up an account with DUO, ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State University’s multi-factor authentication system. This tool helps keep your information protected as an essential part of creating a secure digital environment.

Review your Transfer Evaluation

  • Your transfer evaluation should be available to view within 2-3 weeks of acceptance (may take longer due to volume).

  • You will be notified via student email when your transfer evaluation is ready for review.

File your FAFSA

Submit the FAFSA and ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Scholarship Application any time after they open October 1 and November 1, respectively. While ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ offers many opportunities for financial aid and scholarships, be sure to research funding from other sources, as well.

Sign Up for New Student Orientation

Orientation allows you to connect with peers, complete class advising and course registration, and learn about resources. Early sign-up is encouraged for you and your parents/guests.

²ÝÁñÊÓƵ for Housing

Make the most of your college experience by living on campus! You will have an opportunity to build relationships with other students that can last a lifetime.

Complete Lawful Presence Verification

The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia requires ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ to obtain verification of lawful presence in the United States for all students who are admitted as a Resident (in-state) student or who will receive an out-of-state tuition waiver. To see a list of acceptable documents and submit your verification, visit the Lawful Presence Verification website.

Submit Immunization Records

²ÝÁñÊÓƵ requires all students provide proof of immunization of specific vaccines verified by their health care provider. Documents can be submitted online through the , mailed, or hand delivered to the Enrollment Customer Service Center.

Explore Campus Services

Find out about dining, meal plans, parking, card services, postal services and more.

Check for Holds and Submit Final Transcripts

Unresolved holds will halt your registration for classes. Admission is pending until your final official transcripts are received. Before Orientation, check for holds or missing transcripts in Owl Express.

Schedule Time to Connect with Advising

Schedule an introductory meeting with your advisor prior to Orientation. Your advisor will you guide through your academic major toward graduation. They can also assist you in understanding how your transfer credits apply to your major.

Tuition and Billing

The Bursar is where you can find information on tuition and payment options. You are encouraged to explore your options well in advance of the first day of classes.
