About The Metaverse

The Metaverse Research Group intends to explore the progression and extension of real-world participants’ interactions using emerging technologies, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), networked extended reality (XR), and artificial intelligence (AI) systems. The Metaverse Research Group pursues creating immersive and realistic three-dimensional environments to promote virtual collaboration and interconnection among people; and enabling intensive immersive experience. The Metaverse Research Group has the following exploratory objectives:

  • Promote an innovative research and training environment for researchers and students.
  • Create collaboration of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research and training environments.
  • Conduct academic research in the virtual environments associated with, but not limited to, user behaviors, virtually user-generated content, virtual currency, a virtual workforce, work collaboration, privacy concerns, digital assets, and any metaverse-related emerging technologies in business, social science, education, healthcare, and information technology disciplines.
  • Collaborate and support industry practitioners by providing insights and knowledge regarding various applications of Metaverse technologies.
