Mission Statement

The mission of the Ph.D. Program in Business Administration is to provide our graduates with the skills and credentials needed to conduct theoretically grounded and scientifically based research in specific business disciplines, which will serve to prepare them for teaching and research positions in academe or industry.

The Ph.D. in Business Administration Program Leadership comprises faculty members from the Coles College of Business who are dedicated to ensuring the successful development of our Ph.D. students. The leadership structure includes the Executive Program Director and Discipline Leads.

Coles Ph.D. Scholars

The Ph.D. in Business Administration program uses a number of scholars that are faculty members of the Coles College of Business. Coles Ph.D. scholars are highly respected academics with a record of publishing in rigorous academic journals. Coles Ph.D. Scholars engage in the program through teaching and dissertation committee membership. 

Global Scholars

The research-based Ph.D. in Business Administration program uses a select number of scholars who are faculty members outside of the Coles College of Business. Global Scholars are highly respected academics, oftentimes leaders within their field, with a record of publishing in top academic journals. Global Scholars enhance the program by teaching in specific topic areas. Global Scholars can also be used, on occasion, as dissertation committee members.
