The Office of External Affairs promotes university priorities at the federal, state, and local levels. We build and strengthen relationships with government, community, non-profits, and industry partners to grow mutually beneficial partnerships. Our office serves as a resource to external stakeholders and fosters collaboration by connecting partners to all ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ has to offer as a public university.

Carnegie Designated Community Engaged Institution

²ÝÁñÊÓƵ has been recognized by the Carnegie Foundation with its Community Engagement Classification. To receive this designation the Carnegie Foundation engages with institutions in a substantive process of inquiry, reflection, and self-assessment and requires thorough data collection and documentation of important aspects of institutional mission, identity and commitments, and scope of work throughout the institution connected with the community.  Receiving this designation is a prestigious honor and places ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ as part of a select group of institutions that are considered national leaders in community engagement.
