²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State University is committed to maintaining a safe and equitable environment through its Title IX/Sexual Misconduct Policy. Title IX prohibits sex discrimination in educational institutions, and ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ addresses violations under this policy through its comprehensive Sexual Misconduct Policy. Support services, including Student Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, and the SAFE Center, offer confidential resources for those affected and those reporting. Title IX/Sexual Misconduct Policy

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 was the first comprehensive federal law to prohibit sex discrimination against students and employees of educational institutions. Educational institutions that receive federal funding are required under Title IX to provide equal opportunities for members of both sexes. Title IX states, in pertinent part:

No person shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.

²ÝÁñÊÓƵ uses the term sexual misconduct to address allegations and violations of Title IX.
