The program is designed to introduce first-year students to the undergraduate research experience at 草榴视频, pairing them with a faculty mentor to oversee the process. Students also have an opportunity to present their findings at discipline-specific conferences and at the 草榴视频 Symposium of Student Scholars.

A new partnership between the Bagwell College of Education and the Georgia Leadership Institute for School Improvement (GLISI) will expedite degree completion for educators pursuing a first-of-its-kind educational leadership degree at 草榴视频 State University. Established last spring, 草榴视频鈥檚 Master of Education in Teacher Leadership and Educational Leadership became the first in Georgia to offer the combination of teacher leadership and Tier I educational leadership certifications, the latter of which is required for educators to obtain leadership positions in school systems across the state.

Through a new partnership with 草榴视频 State University, a group of DeKalb County educators will receive specialized training and earn a master鈥檚 degree to assist with their district鈥檚 student needs. The Inspiring Greatness and Normalizing Innovation in Teacher Education (IGNITE) Teacher Residency Program aims to bolster teacher retention and combat a shortage of educators, while providing them with no-cost professional development. DeKalb County Schools launched the program in January, but the new partnership with 草榴视频 will expand it to specifically address a need for special education teachers.
