Presenting Research to Georgia Legislators

is an annual event in Atlanta, Georgia in which undergraduate researchers from schools in Georgia present their research as posters to state legislators and staffers. Undergraduates at ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State University who are working on research are strongly encouraged to submit an application. 

Who Should ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ: Undergraduate researchers from ALL disciplines who are currently enrolled in a public or private college or university located in the state of Georgia.

Recommended Research: Submit a research project that has been accepted and that you have presented within the last two academic years at another conference.

Important Dates and Information for the 2024 Event

  • January 29, 2024 at 11:59pm EST: Proposals due
  • February 2, 2024: Notification emails sent from the Office of Undergraduate Research
  • February 5, 2024 by 5:00pm: Approved poster proofs to be sent to the Capitol for review
  • February 20, 2024, 1:00pm - 3:00pm: Poster event, South Hall/Rotunda of the Georgia State Capitol

Please note that for the 2024 Posters at the Georgia State Capitol the timeline is extremely short. Therefore, each institution has been requested to individually select a maximum of two (2) projects and one (1) alternate to participate.

The Office of Undergraduate Research will review each abstract and poster and select the projects which best represent ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State University, based on these criteria.
