Partner with Student Volunteerism & Service

Student Volunteerism and Service (SVS) functions as a connector organization that links students, faculty/staff, and community partners. Our aim is to provide resources for volunteers to find opportunities that best fit their individual needs.  

Additionally, SVS aims to provide connections other entities and opportunities at ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State University that may be useful to our community partners.  

How to Partner

Connecting with community partners who want to engage with ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ students is the heart of what we do! Getting started as a partner is easy!

Step 1: Fill out the Intake form while booking an Intake Call with a member of the Student Volunteerism and Service department.

Step 2: Official Partnership

Connection to Relevant ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Resources and Further Orientation as Required

    • Access to recruit ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ volunteers via GivePulse
    • Connections to relevant units on campus 
    • Invitation to participate in nonprofit engagement series  
    • Complete Annual Survey 
    • Training
      • 30-Minute ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Partnership Orientation
      • Training does not need to be repeated unless the agency has a new primary contact since the last time the training was completed. 
  • Perks Requirements 
    • All of Level 1
    • Can host EDUC2120 students
    • Invitation to the annual Volunteer Fair 
    • Priority host site for OwlsServe Days
    • Priority host site for ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Day of Service  
    • Complete Annual Survey 
    • Training
      • 30-Minute ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Partnership Orientation (only to be repeated after initial intake if the agency has a new primary contact)
      • 30-Minute Managing Student Volunteers 101
      • This training does not include any training required to participate in listed perks. Trainings do not need to be repeated unless the agency has a new primary contact since the last time the training was completed.
    • Participate in the Annual Focus Group in May

    • Invitation to apply to host 1-2 ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Service Fellows
    • Invitation to apply to host an Impact Service Group
    • Invitation to Community Partner Luncheon in late March 
    • Access to SVS Conference and Training Rooms (during business hours / if available) 
    • Complete Annual Survey 
    • Signed MOU
    • Training
      • 30-Minute ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Partnership Orientation
      • 30-Minute Managing Student Volunteers 101
      • 30-Minute Student Development through Service

Candid Access

All local nonprofits have access to Candid’s Foundation Directory Online through our partnership with United Way of Greater Atlanta and Cobb Collaborative. to access this valuable resource in our office.
