Sports and Recreation Memberships 

Sports and Recreation offers memberships to ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ students, faculty, staff, retirees, alumni, and their affiliates.  &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

ALL MEMBERSHIP FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE. Members (non-²ÝÁñÊÓƵ students) must be at least 17 years of age to enter the Student Recreation and Activities Center (SRAC) or the Recreation and Wellness Center (RWC).  &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

All members agree to follow the Recreation Facility Rules and Guidelines.

Memberships will not be refunded unless a verified health reason is provided or employment at ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State University is terminated. In the event of altered facility hours or closures, member fees will not be prorated. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

Guest Passes  

Current Sports and Recreation members can purchase guests passes. Limit 2 guests per member. Members must always accompany their guests. All guests must complete a liability wavier form and present a valid photo ID at the time of purchase. Guests must be at least 17 years of age. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Faculty and Staff are eligible to purchase a guest pass without a sponsor. Student members are not allowed to sponsor themselves. Students must have an active membership or be sponsored by a current member. Solicitation for sponsors is prohibited.

  • $10 per day for Student Recreation and Activities Center (²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Campus), Recreation and Wellness Center (Marietta Campus) and Climbing Gym Access 
  • $5 per day Climbing Gym Access Only 

Guest passes can be purchased in-person utilizing  K-Cash or credit/debit card at the Service Desk and online through the .

Memberships for Alumni, Retiree, and ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Adult Affiliates should schedule an appointment to have an ID card printed between the hours of 8-5pm, Monday - Friday.  Please call to schedule an appointment: 470-578-6913.

Facility Waivers

Recreation waivers are paperless! Please sign our waiver through the Sports and Recreation Member Portal or through the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Sports and Recreation App.  &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

How to sign the facility waiver:

  1. Visit 
  2. On the top right select “log inâ€
  3. Log in with your NetID and password
  4. The waiver will appear
  5. Review waiver and click “Accept Nowâ€

You will now have a waiver on file and will not have to re-sign during the duration of your time at ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ.

Minors will be able to complete their waiver through 

  1. Click on 
  2. Input student and parent/guardian information  
  3. Follow prompts to complete the waiver 

A confirmation email will be sent when your waiver has been processed. Please allow 72 business hours for processing.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Students that are currently enrolled at ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State University and paying the mandatory student Recreation Fee or Online Learner Fee are eligible to access either location during operating hours.

    Faculty, staff, retirees, and alumni may purchase a membership.

    Spouses, family members and friends of current students, faculty, staff, retirees, and alumni may purchase a ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ affiliate membership.

    ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ students that are not paying the mandatory student rec fee, such as web learners may purchase a membership.

  • The Department of Sports and Recreation is accepts K-Cash and credit/debit cards for in-person payments. To load money to your ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ ID for K-Cash use, please visit this . Student Banner Account or Payroll Deduction for eligible memberships is also available. To purchase a membership for the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ campus, please visit the Sports and Recreation Administrative Suite located inside the Dr. Betty L. Siegel Student Recreation and Activities Center during office hours. (Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm) For the Marietta campus, please visit the Service Desk in the Student Recreation Center during operating hours.

    Online purchases and membership renewals are available at 

  • Members may rent a locker at the RWC or SRAC. Lockers that are available for rent are located in locker rooms within each facility. Locks are provided. To rent a locker, please visit the Service Desk of the facility you wish to rent to pay with cash or check.

    Daily use lockers are also available at each recreation center at no cost. Locks are provided at the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Campus, but not at the Marietta Campus.

  • Locker Rental Procedures :

    I understand that it is my responsibility to adhere to the following locker rental rules:   

    • The Department of Sports and Recreation is not responsible for personal items left in the locker rooms.
    • The Member will be held responsible for any damages to the interior of the locker during the rental period.
    • No food or drink can be left overnight in a locker.
    • Contents of locker must be removed prior to the contract expiration date. Members will be sent an expiration reminder email at least 15 days prior to expiration date as well as another email reminder 2 days prior to locker expiration date. However, it is the responsibility of the member to keep track of locker expiration. Emails will be sent to the email listed on file with Sports and Recreation.
    • Items left in the locker after expiration will be held for 30 days only, after which they will be disposed.  During this 30-day period, members can pick up their items at Recreation and Wellness Service Desk (Marietta Campus) or the Student Recreation and Activities Center Admin Suite (²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Campus).  
    • Prices are subject to change at the beginning of each semester.
    • If a master lock was provided for your locker, it must remain attached to the locker at the time of clean out.  If the lock is missing at time of clean out, the member will be responsible for paying the replacement fee of $6.00 if the lock is not returned within 10 business days. 
  • For a locker rental without a built in lock, follow these steps:

    • Turn RIGHT two turns, stop at the first number of your combination
    • Turn LEFT a full turn past the first number and stop at your second number
    • Turn RIGHT and pull shackle at the last number of your combination.

    For a rental locker with a built in combination, follow these steps:

    • Enter your combination that was assigned.
    • Turn the knob so arrow points up, to the 12 o'clock position.
    • Open the door. 

    To reset your combination:

    • With the arrow on the knob pointing up, to the 12 o'clock position, close the door.
    • Make sure arrow is pointing up, then set your new four digit code.
    • Lock door by turning knob so the white arrow points left, to the 9 o'clock position.
    • Scramble the combination.
  • For a daily use locker with a built in combination, follow these steps:

    • With the arrow on the knob pointing up, to the 12 o'clock position, close the door.
    • Make sure arrow is pointing up, then set your four digit code. 
    • Lock door by turning know so the white arrow points left, to the 9 o'clock position.
    • Scramble the combination.

    To unlock: 

    • Re-enter your code.

  • Yes, members may bring up to two (2) guest per visit. Guests must be at least 17 years of age and present a picture ID to purchase a Day Pass. All guests must be accompanied by a recreation center member at all times. The guest will need to sign a waiver/release form to gain entry to the recreation center.

Membership Categories

  • A membership is automatically applied to student's accounts who are enrolled in courses as a Rec Center Fee or Online Learner Fee and is collected with tuition. No action is required for those enrolled. ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ students that do not pay the fee will need to purchase a membership if they would like to access Sports and Recreation facilities and programs. Only currently enrolled students are eligible to opt-in for a student membership. 

    TAP students are not eligible for student memberships. 

    Summer: Students not enrolled in summer classes are eligible to opt-in during the summer semester if previously enrolled in the spring semester. 

    Membership provides access to: aquatic programming, OwlFit personal training, group fitness classes, intramural sports, club sports, Outdoor Adventures programming (bike shop, gear rental, climbing gym) 

    $97 per semester 

    Student Recreation and Activities Center (²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Campus) and Recreation and Wellness Center (Marietta Campus) access

    Retirees of the university who are enrolled in the Retirees Association are welcome to park in the visitor parking areas on the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ and the Marietta Campuses free of charge. Retirees are to display their Association Card on their dash while parking in the visitor lots. Retirees not part of the Association are welcome to pay to park in the visitor lots. 

  • This membership provides access to the bike shop, gear rental, climbing gym and Nature Bound trips. *Affiliates attending Nature Bound trips - must have their sponsor attend as well.  &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

    Payroll Deduction is available for full time, benefitted 10- and 12-month employees. Payroll deduction memberships will continue indefinitely until the member cancels their membership or separates from the University. Please note 10 month employees will have a different rate to account for less payroll periods.  &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
     
    Employee Fitness Center &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
    ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ employees that purchase a Sports and Recreation Combo Membership are eligible to use the  (EFC) located at the ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Center (located behind the Cracker Barrell). This space is for employees only and these members can also participate in a program to receive well-being credits. Access to the EFC is included in a combo membership or an EFC only membership.  

    Employees that ONLY want to access the EFC will need to visit that facility or the EFC website for more information

  • A degree-holding graduate of ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ State University or the former Southern Polytechnic State University. Status will be verified through Member Services and the Office of Alumni & Constituent Engagement.

  • Current Sports and Recreation members may have their spouse/partner, family member or friend become a member. The ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ member must be present during each membership transaction of the affiliate, presenting their ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ ID as well as a photo ID of the joining affiliate. The affiliate must be 17 years of age or older. Eligible ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ employees can add an affiliate membership to their payroll deduction

  • Pool Only memberships are for those patrons who are only interested in utilizing the pool during each visit.  The Student Recreation and Activities Center (²ÝÁñÊÓƵ Campus) has an 8-lane 25-yard indoor pool and an outdoor leisure pool with whirlpool. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

Identification Cards 

Students and employee members will be given access to the Recreation centers through their Talon Card.  Please visit Talon One for card issues and/or replacements. Sports and Recreation cannot print ID cards for current students or employees.

Alumni, Retiree, and Adult Affiliates must have an ID card printed at the Administrative Suite in the Student Recreation and Activities Center between the hours of 8-5pm, Monday - Friday or at the Recreation and Wellness Center Service Desk. Replacement ID cards for these groups at $7.
